Since its release, Battlefield 3 has sold 5 million copies at the opening night. If you're of the millions who enjoy shooting and playing commando in a virtual world, this may be just what you're looking for. You get to shoot terrorists, blow up things, drive or pilot military vehicles, and pretty much anything you see in an FPS but this one goes beyond when it comes to multiplayer. Battlefield 3's multiplayer is its strongest point. The multiplayer missions utilize teamwork and the game also features destructible environments. Now, you can blow up a wall or take out covers where enemy can be hiding. Players can drive a wide array of military vehicles which really contributes to the success of a mission.
Battlefield 3 also features rich environments with amazing visuals, helping players really get into the feel of being on the battlefield. From urban settings to grassy hills. Everything has been meticulously designed in detail. Speaking of detail, the urban settings have tunnels useful for sneaking around enemy troops, the game can turn into an espionage mission if need be. The one thing that can't be done properly in game is the flying choppers and jets. They are hard to control and sadly enough learning them can't be done outside the multiplayer game. They are best used for kamikaze death machines on an M1 tank or some other land vehicle. The multiplayer maps come in a variety of sizes and this determines the type of vehicles opposing teams can drive.
If you have a team of elite players, you can go and battle with others like you till one eventually gives up the white flag and congratulates the winner. When it comes to points, there are many ways to gain these; well we'll just sum it up to proper strategy on the battlefield of Battlefield 3. At least for this game you won’t' be tagged playing a “no-brainer” game like the usual “run and gun” types. Here you have to think because the other team is also thinking. For all we know even noobs can own veterans out of sheer luck. Luck is now a factor in the game and of courses some wits. Add a few zombies in there and they may have lots of brains to munch on.
The bottom line for this game is the excitement it presents to its players, of course that depends on everyone's performance. Here in this game someone can play the “Hero” in desperate times. Need to throw that last desperate grenade and play basketball? Someone can do that unless snipers can them first. If you need numbers to prove this game rocks for hardcore gamers, the game scored 9+ out of 10 on many gaming websites, all thanks to its multiplayer.
We are still hoping to see the developers do something about those flying craft. Perhaps an added feature to Battlefield 3 that will allow players to train outside of the actual game would be nice. Once that is accomplished we should experience a real combat zone complete with choppers dropping off troops and supplies, if not a literal supply drop this means weapons of teammates who died from plummeting.
